Wickersham began with a simple frustration: too much marketing was being divided among people who rarely worked closely enough together.
Strategy lived in one place. Creative lived in another. Execution was handed off somewhere else. Each transition introduced more distance, more explanation, and more opportunity for the original thinking to be lost.
We believed there had to be a better way—one that brought the thinking and the doing closer together. So we built Wickersham to work differently: integrated, senior-led, and close enough to the business to understand what the work actually needs.
Close enough to understand what is really happening.
You cannot fully understand a business from the outside. So we step inside—close to the people, decisions, pressures, and possibilities shaping the work.
We listen before we prescribe. We ask what is really happening, not just what needs to be produced. We connect strategy to execution and stay close enough to adjust when the reality changes. We do not work around your team. We work with it—as collaborators, translators, builders, and, when needed, an embedded extension of the organization.
Our point of view
Marketing should make the business work better.
We believe marketing is infrastructure—a driving force for growth, not decoration. At its best, marketing creates clarity across the organization. It helps people understand what the business stands for, aligns teams around a common direction, reduces friction in the customer experience, and gives growth something stronger to build on.
That is why we look beyond the immediate assignment. A website may reveal a positioning problem. A campaign may expose a broken handoff. A rebrand may uncover a lack of internal alignment. We solve the work in front of us while paying attention to the system around it.
What we bring to the table
We bring experienced judgment, connected capabilities, and a close understanding of how your organization actually works. Strategy, identity, creative, digital, content, campaigns, operations, and measurement are considered together—not handed off as disconnected services. We stay close to the people carrying the work forward, ask the difficult questions, challenge assumptions, and bring a clear point of view to what will make the work stronger.
The fit matters more than the industry
We work best with organizations that see marketing as part of how the business operates—not simply how it promotes itself. They may be growing, repositioning, entering a new market, rebuilding a brand, or trying to bring clarity to a marketing function that has become fragmented. What they share is a willingness to look closely, make thoughtful decisions, and build something that can hold up over time.
One way of working.
Different levels of engagement.
Focused Project
Embedded Partnership
Not every organization needs the same kind of relationship. Some need a focused engagement with a defined outcome: a brand strategy, identity, website, campaign, or other critical initiative.
Others need an ongoing partner that can bring leadership and integrated marketing capabilities into the business over time.Every engagement receives the same level of rigor, attention, and commitment.
Experienced people, directly involved.
Wickersham is led by founders who believe the strongest work happens when senior thinking remains close to the details. Our leadership does not disappear after the initial conversation. We remain involved in the decisions, direction, and work itself—helping connect the broader business challenge to what ultimately gets built.
